First Teaser Trailer for Live-Action Beauty and the Beast

Guys, the first trailer for Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast premiered today, and I was NOT ready for it.

Look at that CASTLE.  That is a nice castle.  It is everything that the BATB castle should be and it’s giving me serious nostalgia.

And don’t even get me started about the hauntingly beautiful piano music that accompanies this trailer.  It is exactly like the opening prologue from the original animated film, and my tear ducts just can’t handle it.

And then there’s the portrait.  Good God, Disney, are you trying to send me into cardiac arrest? Huge throwback to the ripped painting in the West Wing, and then you go and rip it, and I’m a puddle.

Excuse me, did you just give me a Lumber sighting?  Take a look at the arch in the background…do you spy a three-tier candelabra?  ‘Cause I do, and DAMN DANIEL I’ve got goosebumps.

And then, my nervous system is completely thrown off-kilter when I hear the voices of Ewan MacGregor and Ian McKellen (Lumiere and Cogsworth) because I was NOT planning on hearing anyone’s voices in this trailer, and dammit, Auto-Correct, you better learn how to spell “Lumiere” by next March because I did NOT mean to type “lumber.” But, good gravy, they sound awesome, and I want to hear more, because they are both international treasures, and then–

Ba-bam! We’re hit with the beautiful Emma Watson as Belle, and I’M NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING.

I am way, way, way too impatient to wait until March 17th, 2017 to see this.  Anyone want to storm the castle, à la Gaston, and demand that Disney give us the film we have all been waiting for to break the movie musical spell?!?

DISNEY, MY INSIDES WERE NOT READY FOR THIS TODAY.

Beauty and the Beast opens March 17th, 2017.  The film stars Emma Watson as Bell, Dan Stevens as The Beast, Ewan MacGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as LeFou, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette,  and Stanley Tucci as Cadenza.

The trailer was released today exclusively on Good Morning America.

    • I am totally with you! I saw it 11 times in the theaters! All I’m saying is that someone will have to pay if this movie is not 100% perfect. I hope the CGI isn’t too goofy.
