Misheard Song Lyrics

comedy, Humor, humor, music

Hi, my name is Kate, and I’m a Song Lyric Re-Writer.

I’ve had this disorder for as long as I can remember.  My earliest memories of dealing with this affliction center around Seal’s “Kiss from a Rose.”  To me, the song went something like this:

Baby, I can bear you to a kiss from a rose on the grave.
Ooh, the more I get of you the stranger in heels, and yeah!
Now that your rose is in blue,
the light gets the bloom on the grave.

The actual lyrics went a little something like this:

Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom
A light hits the gloom on the grey

See?  I thought it was a song about cemeteries and crossdressers!

Apparently, I’m not the only one suffering with this issue.  Take a look at comedian Peter Kay’s take on a bevy of misheard lyrics:

Happy Thursday!
