Star Trek TV Series reboot gets a logo and a trailer
At the CBS Upfront presentation at Carnegie Hall in New York on May 18, CBS debuted the first-ever promotional video for its reboot of Star Trek TV series. The series is set to premiere in January 2017.
According to StarTrek.com:
In the U.S., a special premiere episode will air on the CBS Television Network and all subsequent first-run episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access. The series will also be available on television stations and platforms in other countries around the world.
So, basically, CBS is going to hook you on national television with the pilot episode, and then you’ll have to sign up for their streaming service, All Access, to watch the rest of the season.
There’s no actual footage of the TV series just yet, but CBS promises to bring viewers “new crews, new villains, new heroes, and new worlds.” Bryan Fuller (Hannibal, Pushing Daisies) will serve as executive producer for the new series.
